75 yrs old gentleman came with pain in left knee with difficulty in walking for the past 6 months. He had history of Total knee Replacement surgery done in 2005. On Clinical examination valgus stress test was positive for insufficient medial collateral ligament with hyperextension. Xray showed medial varus collapse with loosening of previous prosthesis. Infection parameters were normal. Thus he planned for revision hinge knee prosthesis. Postop xray showed well stable rotating hinge knee prosthesis with augments to overcome the defects. We routinely performed such complex procedures with great outcomes. These revision surgeries need preoperative planning in terms of instrumentation back up and hinge knee. Now patient is comfortable and walking with support.
