Complex Primary Varus Knee – Bilateral Total Knee Replacement

A 66 year old gentleman suffering from pain in the both knees from last 10 yrs with severe limitations of activities . He was almost bedridden for the last 2 yrs. He was found to be having osteoarthritis of the both knees resulting from “ Severe Varus ” deformity with bone loss. He also had implant in right leg which was put after osteotomy of right tibia. The experience of surgeons in treating this kind of deformity is limited.

Large volume centres like Delhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics (DITO) at Sant Parmanand Hospital get lot of patients with these deformities. we did Bilateral Total Knee Replacement with unconstrained implant and stem and wedge for tibial bone loss . Patient is doing well in the recovery period.
